Two Day National Seminar on
Globalization of Indian Economy: Opportunities & Challenges
(Date: 6-7October, 2007)
Dear Friends,
I feel great
pleasure to inform you that the School of Management Sciences is organizing
a National Seminar on “Globalization of Indian Economy: Opportunities &
Challenges” on 6th and 7th October, 2007 in
its campus which happens to be a part of SMS endeavor to provide an
opportunity to scholars, professionals and budding managers to develop by
way of cumulative learning and sharing.
In order to
gain a foothold in this rapidly developing market, Indian companies need to
fully understand the role of global management philosophies and corporate
networks that are playing there. Fierce competition for resources and target
markets in this attractive region and the evaluation of the impact that the
Indian economy will have on foreign markets will be determined by an
accurate environmental analysis. By taking a fresh look at the corporate
challenges from Global Business, the proposed seminar will decisively inform
the debate on innovation, productivity and growth in India.
The seminar
will examine India both as manufacturing base and as target market from the
perspective of Global companies. It will also shed light on the implications
for foreign businesses and policy-makers of the consequences of deepening
integration of world economies. In sum, the main objective of this seminar
is to develop fresh avenues of research that will inform understanding of
the relationship between India and Global companies, and between them and
Global economies. It will help to further raise awareness of the
ramifications of integration of world markets for the Indian economy by
learning from leading scholars and senior executives based in reputed
companies.
I hope your
kind cooperation shall be available in making the seminar a grand success.
