The Era Of Apps
Everybody has a smart phone today, atleat one member from a family definitely has. With the fast changing world the tele communication and networking had successfully established itself in India. In the early days of the birth of smart phone, its use was limited to clicking photos, gaming, using social media, sharing data and listening music. Latter, google map was added as a life line for the people and following that came the flood of applications or in short apps. But what are apps? In common parlance they are icons in your smart phone which perform different functions. Today, as majority of population has access to smart phones and internet, apps have become a master tool of entrepreneurship. The following examples will clarify my point:- 1) Want to be a writer- You have apps like notepad, yourquotes, mirakee, quote creator and individual apps of publishing houses. One can directly connect to publishing houses through their apps, submit their manuscript and check the performance of their scale through it. 2) Study apps for students:- There are many apps that provide online tuitions and internship like Unacadamy and Internshala. 3)Are you hungry:- App is panacea for it. Just go to play store and download Zomato, Swiggy, Food Panda, Dominos pizza and so on. The food will be delivered at your threshold if the hotels of your area or city have agreement with those startups. 4) Want to plan and trip:- What about Make my trip, Redbus, Trivago, Goibibo OYO and may more. These apps can help you book your flight tickets, it can book your room in hotels and much more 5)) Want to avoid waiting for auto- Book cabs through Uber and Ola. Women who get off from office late are blessed with this facility. Old people who can not rush into city bus or wait for vehicles at squares can call Ola or Uber at their threshold. 6)) Singing- This is something which is most liked by young generation. Apps like Starmaker, Smule, Sing plus, etc. have provided a space for music lover. 7) What to watch new!:- Netflix and TVF have established themselves as the most entertaining mode of amusement through web series and has also provided the series maker money for their work through paid packages. 8) Want to play game:- From Clash Of Clan to PubG gaming world has filled your phone with full time fun. 9) Want to Buy something:- Why to toil and sweat around shops? Just open Amazon, Myntra, Snapdeal, Flipcart,etc. 10) God at the time of Demonetization:- Yes! You guess is right it was digital wallet which was of great help at the time of demonetization. Now gradually people are learning how to use digital money. Today one can pay water bill, gas bill, electricity bill, insurance and much more just by a click. Apps like Paytm, Google Pay, Phone Pay, etc. have provided digital transaction facilities. Now, money can be transferred to anyone at anytime with merely a click. 11) Government Apps:- Government Of India has also started its digital portals and apps to connect better with people. It also helps people to make best use of governments policies and at the same time give people space to give their feedbacks. Like NaMo aap, MyGov aap and so on. 12) Health Is Wealth:- There are also many apps that form health chart and keep daily trace of it. Some apps also give doctor support and suggestions. There is one similarity among all the apps that is all the apps(excluding govt apps) are mode of entrepreneurship. This had opened a new window for people who have the best business skills and who has quality product for the customers. People has innovated a new mode of employment and at the same time raised the living standard of people through it. No doubt this word is an era of apps, a fast changing, developing, highly connective and digitalizing world. Though the fact can not be neglected that for a country like India there is still a long journey to educate it’s people about digital world and how to be safe and secure in it. There is no wonder when we hear the news of net banking fraud due to incomplete knowledge of the customer. Hacking and digital crimes of other forma are also taking it’s shape in today’s scenario therefore it is very important to teach people how to use digital platform. The more aware you are the more secure you become in digital world, therefore governments and NGOs should come forward to help people of India to become part of this changing world and walk at par with the world.
