Brewing Job Seekers!

Every year lakhs of students enroll in graduation from universities all across India and it can be deduced more vividly from the fact that 60-65% of the Indian population is young. In other words, India is a country with large human resource and potent to act as building blocks for the nation. But at the same time, increasing rate of graduates is also giving rise to cut-throat competition. One can see students going for tuition classes right from the primary level since there is the high pressure of percentage building. A lot of coaching centers have emerged with the increasing rate of students appearing for competition.  People pay hefty fees to give their children coaching from best coaching centers and here we have yet a filtered class of students who are not able to bear the pressure of studies and give in. I wonder why are Indian so centric about the job? Why everyone is expected to be a doctor or an engineer or an IAS when there is a big pool of jobs sprouting and booming in India. Why are we pushing our children into the rat race, which has either no end or may have bad end for many? With the emerging private market and big corporate sectors jobs have increased in India. But what hinders ones way to get into a good firm? The tragedy of the Indian education system is that there are no vocational education and internship facilities. Vocational education or skill construction centric education is very imperative to clear the traffic-jam-of-jobs in India. For that matter, one has to follow certain steps and the returns will be positive for sure. 1) Find: Try to find work of your interest and the infant-skill in you which can lead to a job. Then decide whether the place where you are, suits you or not. If not, try to search a place where you are made for. For instance, a person good in music should go to music school, a person good in dance should go dancing school and a person good in communication skills should explore possibilities in Mass Com and so far soon. 2) Work Hard: Once you realize your interest start working day and night to hone your skills. 3) Internship: Most of the jobs in the private sector in India demand work experience besides the degrees. So, try to find an internship, paid or unpaid to add a key point to your resume. 4)Resume: Sine-qua-non to nail an interview is a good resume. Mention all the qualification details and highlight some special skills that you have, relevant to the job you are applying for. Internship and work experience can play a very imperative role in this step, so dont forget to mention it. 5) Why should you be hired? : This is one of the most frequent questions asked in an interview or in an internship. Have a clear mindset whether or not you fit the frame of the firm you are applying for. 6) Good Communication: Good communication skills decides ones growth in a job and is, in fact, the best way to impress the interviewer. 7) Innovative Mind: Todays world has a great demand of innovative mind. So, keep trying to do something out of the box. 8) Be Determined: Have a firm determination to achieve your goal. Once rejected doesnt mean that you are nothing rather it means you ought to work harder. Your life is in your hand, now it is up to you how you make best out of it. If you follow the above steps sincerely, you are certainly going to see yourself in a good position after a few years. But there is one vital thing about private jobs that one has to be updated all the time to keep pace with the fast-changing world. So, never saturate yourself after getting a job, keep working hard and exploring the world of your dreams. Good Luck
