STUDENTS GOALS AFTER COLLEGE GRADUATION

Stress occurs either students enroll in their first college program, put their maximum effort into their early class coursework, or close the end of their educational paths, keeping an eye on their targets. Such a focus—their reason for attending college in the first place and can spark their motivation even on the days they are struggling with assignments or stressed by their responsibilities. But actually, if we see what those targets are? And how does college help them to achieve those goals? In 2017 Student Engagement in Insights survey asked over 3,000 college students about their goals and achievements and how they think college will help them get where they want to go and what they want. Look at college students responses to the question: What are your goals after college? Going by these results, it is almost transparent that most students attend college to improve their chances of getting a fulfilling career that lets them be responsible. In a herd of choices listed on the survey, a good or better job ranked the highest, 80% of the student vote. Nearly 62% of students hope that their college achievements will result in a high-paying job or pay better than their current position. These results simplify with students answers to a question we previously covered at the Engaging Minds. Was getting a good job your primary reason for attending college? 73% of students said that yes, this was true for them. A lot of students also told us that they have a good plan for continuing their formal education. More than half of the students indicated that they are looking for an additional degree after completing their current program. Whether this means they will be working towards a bachelors degree after earning a relative degree, or maybe they want to attend graduate school after completing their undergrad studies, many students have additional educational goals beyond their current college experience because they want o to achieve something good. We observed trends among their responses, and we have summarized them below in points to remember:

  1.  Chase additional career-focused training, schooling, or certification. Observing many things, more than 50% of our survey respondents want to pursue another degree because of having a bright career. But besides, many students said that once they finish college, they look to pursue certification paths a cosmetology/beautician license, additional technical certificates, law school, medical school, and other programs that prepare them to practice in fields requiring advanced support education.
  2.  Kick Start a business. Most of the students we surveyed said that they plan to take an entrepreneurial route after graduation to stand themselves differently. For these students, the knowledge and skills gained during college will apply to the work they will put into building their own companies, services, practices, and firms.   3. Achieve personal satisfaction and happiness. For many students, the career goals are less tangible but by no means less privileged. Students listed happiness, more significant and broader experience, travel, work-life balance, pride, knowledge, and personal wholeness among their post-college goals. Others look forward to doing what they want to do, or a job where I can grow but still be true to my beliefs, while still others want to "retire" and rest on [they are] satisfaction of going to school at an elderly age.
  1.  Serve and support others. Most of the students who wanted to use what they had learned in college to help others in need and passing knowledge on to others. Many mentioned that they want to join a national or global aid effort, whether by working for a non-profit or NGO, joining the Peace Corps, or providing aid for children and individuals with disabilities in war-torn countries. Others stuck a bit closer to home, naming such activities as mentoring, starting a family, utilizing my newly gained knowledge to help others in my community, or passing on my specific school experience.
  2. Teamwork In a business, it is widespread that a leaders best strategy is to listen to suggestions from their team members or delegate responsibility to a specialist accordingly. If you want to opt for a B.com course program for better management, then you have to team up with peers to exchange ideas with each other and complete projects in a group specifically.
  3. Earn Highest Salary After knowing about different job profiles and many job areas to explore opportunities, many b.com graduates make the highest income package by working in other departments where the candidates salary varies according to the department. A candidate learns deep understanding to develop essential business skills such as communication skills, leadership, critical thinking, and decision-making accordingly.
  5. You can start your own company. Many students want to pursue a degree program to become entrepreneurs and try to learn about how to start and grow a particular business in the market. They have a dream to start it and want to know how to turn it into reality by achieving a specific goal. For that, you can also take some real-life experience from some professors in starting a business. You can also find some colleagues who have similar interests in this field relatively. Share your business ideas with them and see if they help you. Because to start any startup; its success chances are increases if you have a reliable partner who always is with you. After becoming an entrepreneur, You will learn how to communicate effectively in the business world relatively.
  6. Creativity Creativity is also given a new direction to your career if you have a command on it. They are coming up with innovative ideas in a relevant business world established within a company, which is a challenge for everyone. It helps graduates improve business knowledge and develop strategies to brainstorm, research, and try to know about exciting concepts. Students can also identify different aspects of areas to deal with opportunities and take new steps forward toward innovation specifically.
  7. Secure a better financial outlook. 62% say they have a goal of a high-paying job; several students commented that their goal is to become financially independent. One student put a date to the destination, writing a desire to experience financial freedom two years after graduation.
