What is BBA in International Business? 

Bachelor of Business Administration in International Business is a three-year under-graduate course pursued by students who want to learn the business skills required to deal with international clients and businesses. This course prepares individuals with leadership skills, communication skills, and decision-making power for them to rule the business world. 

An individual with a degree with BBA in International Business works for companies who deal with import-export from foreign countries. The course gives an individual detailed, theoretical and practical knowledge of trading and business.
An organization or firm works under some policies and strategies. The functional decisions of an organization is divided into:

  • The multi-domestic company which has independent subsidiaries that act as domestic firms
  • Conducting operations across the globe with integrated subsidiaries
  • Combination of domestic and global.

THE ELIGIBILITY

The Eligibility Criteria for getting admission to BBA   Course is: 

  • A student must be 12th passed from any stream i.e- science, arts, or commerce. Getting your 12th from a particular stream is not required.
  •  A student must have scored 50-60% in 12th grade. English must be a passing subject. 
  • The Age limit provided is different for students who fall under General Category and for those who fall under the Schedule Category. 

           Age Limit- 1. General Category: 17 to 22 years

                        2. Schedule Category: 17 to 24 years.

  • Some Colleges do ask for Maths as a subject in 12th grade, but such colleges are few in numbers.
  • Admission is done on two bases: Merit List and Entrance Exam. 

WAYS TO GET ADMISSION

There are two ways:

  1. Merit List- Some colleges offer admission to this course based on 12th grades.
  2. Entrance Exam- Most of the colleges give admission on basis of entrance exams like- 
  • CUCET- CUCET is a national level entrance exam conducted by ten central universities jointly
  •  DSAT- It is a universal level entrance exam conducted by Dayananda Sagar University.
  • BUMAT- It is a national-level entrance conducted by Bharati Vidyapeeth Deemed University.
  • Some colleges accept the score of Entrance Exams but they decide which entrance paper to consider for the admission process
  • Many colleges conduct their Entrance Exams as well. 
  • IPU, CET, DU, JAT, NPAT are also some of the entrance exams.

FEE STRUCTURE

The Fee Structure can easily range from 25,000 to 2 lakh per annum. Some colleges may charge more.

STUDIES AFTER BBA IB-

After completing BBA IB, one can either work as an employee in a government or private company. Applying to government examinations for government sector organizations is also a popular option. The pay for such posts is very high.

Students can also pursue a Master’s degree after getting the degree. Getting an MBA degree along with BBA IB turns out to be very fruitful for an individual as it makes his/her profile very strong. Here are some of the options to consider:

  • Master of Business Administration (MBA)- It is done to study a specialization in a particular subject. It increases your market value and opens new opportunities for an individual. MBA can be done in more than fifty specializations. 
  • Post Graduate Degree Management(PGDM)- This course shares a common curriculum as MBA, though its subjects offer dynamic knowledge than MBA.
