BBA in Finance

Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) in Finance is a three-year undergraduate course that deals with financial management. It teaches various components of financial aspects like insurance, investment, accounting, marketing, etc.

This course deals with financial management which includes strategizing, controlling and procuring financial resources. Students will be equipped with theoretical and practical knowledge and skills. It covers various concepts such as economics, accounting, mathematics, international business, banking, funds management, business statics, financial theory, corporate finance, operation research, and so on. It also teaches several additional skills like networking, communication, portfolio management, leadership, corporate finance, investments, financial engineering, etc.

Eligibility

The eligibility criteria for pursuing the BBA in finance course is that students must obtain a minimum of 50% in 10+2 from any recognized board. However, some institutions even conduct entrance exams for the admission process.

Duration

BBA in finance is a three-year course that consists of a total of six semesters. Each year is divided into two semesters. The duration of each semester is six months long.

Admission

For taking confirmation in the Bachelor of Business Administration in Finance, understudies need to complete 10+2 with at least 50% percentage. The minimum percentage may vary from one institution to another.

Some institutions provide admission simply on the merit of the 10+2 class checks. But, some institutions conduct entrance exams for admission in BBA in Finance. Candidates are admitted on the basis of their score in the entrance exam.

Entrance exam

In the selection test of BBA in Finance, a general aptitude test will be conducted by the institutes. The entrance exam is partitioned into four segments: General English and business and general awareness, Quantitative ability, and Reasonability and analytical ability.

Each part comprises 25 questions. A sum of 100 questions will be there in the test. Each question carries three marks for every correct answer. The span of the test will be two hours. 

Selection process

The selection of candidates will be made based on the merit in the 10+2 class or academic performance, extra-curricular activities, and personal interview.

However, some institutions conduct entrance exams for the selection process in BBA finance. After the selection test, a merit list will be prepared depending on the marks scored in the entrance exam. Based on these scores, institutions will allot seats to the candidates.

Direct admission

A few institutions provide direct admission based on the 10+2 percentage. Some institutions also offer admission in the management quota. However, the fee structure for the management quota will be higher compared to the normal admission.
