The key discussion revolves around the covid19 and the skill students should upgrade to maintain their post-pandemic abilities. As a pandemic nearly left us dry and high. Industry experts are predicting unprecedented economic collapse, leading to job losses and pay cuts. Governments in various countries have already begun to announce financial packages to ease the harm done by prolonged lockdown periods. This has crippled our lives and caused big setbacks amongst others to many industries such as hospitality, aviation, MSME (Medium, Small and Micro Enterprises). However, we can still utilise this period to develop new skills that will help us take forward our career in a post-Coronavirus world and help us survive in the professional world after the pandemic is over.

When a ship is in distress, it can be sailed through turbulent water only by an competent captain. People with good leadership skills will lead a team towards success during this hour of crisis. Industry analysts expect the next big thing to be work from home. Most tech firms have already requested their workers to be working from home by the end of 2020. So people with strong leadership skills who can manage team remotely, inspire teammates to work hard and bring out the best are others would be a safe bet for companies. So, its time to refine your skills for leadership.

Emotional intelligence is that quality that makes a person better understand the emotions of others, and well communicate or regulate their emotions. Every great leader has that quality. They are empathies, and can effectively assess an employees mental and emotional health. Yet workers with a high emotional intelligence have greater chances of survival during the difficult time that we are in today.

Our ability to be tech-savvy is one of the main attributes that can help workers thrive in a post-coronavirus environment. The pandemic has brought tremendous digital transformations — employees operate from home, they do online meetings, and social networking platforms have become invaluable to communicate professionally. According to experts, the future will be the artificial intelligence, Internet-controlled operations, robots, etc. that will enable businesses to become more resilient to future pandemics. Hence, it is very important that people cultivate an aptitude to learn new technology and improve the ability to efficiently use emerging tools in their work.

The lockdown has brought many changes to our lives and there are definitely going to be more changes waiting for our way after the pandemic is over. The way offices function, how we work etc. will change and with work from home becoming a reality, the change has already begun. Individuals with the ability to adjust to changes rapidly will be of great benefit for their workplaces.
