Legislature, executive and Judiciary are considered three important pillars of a democracy. But, out of the given three examples Judiciary is most imperative as it ensures that the people of nation work in accordance with rules and regulations of a nation.  It gives voice to the poor, right to protest to weak people, justice to the victims and ensures an armour of legal support to every citizen irrespective of their colour, class, caste, creed, clans,  gender, religion and so on.  All this is possible because of 1.2 million lawyers in India. According to Court News, in January 2016, there were 16,119 judges in the subordinate judiciary, 598 in high courts and 26 in the Supreme Court. Today, I am going to tell you how to get admission in the best law school in India. To get admission in best law school of India an exam is conducted all across India called CLAT. CLAT stands for Common Law Admission Test, it is a centralized test for admission to 21 National Law Universities and 43 other education institutes. It is an exam to get admission in L.LB and post graduation course in Law. Earlier, there were autonomous Law colleges which had their own Law entrance exams but  it used to clash with other competitive exams such as the Indian Institute of Technology Joint Entrance Examination and the All India Pre Medical Test. Therefore a single entrance exam for all law colleges as formed which we know today with the acronym CLAT. 10th Jan 2019 is the date of CLAT exam in which National Law Universities will offer about 2,984 seats. 1) Criminal Lawyers: They have specialization in criminal laws CrpC, IPC, Evidence Act and other penal courts. 2)  Civil Litigation Lawyers: They are specialized in civil laws. e.g. taxation laws. 3) Legal Analyst: They worm for corporate firms or law firms and analyze Law related to the company and its functioning 4) Document Drafting: They have specialization in documentation of agreements. 5) Legal Journalist : Legal Journalist analyses different cases and writes about them. 6) Government Lawyers: Government also recruits lawyer for the functioning of legal cases. 7) Judges: Judges are heavy demanded in India because of lot of legal cases coming to court and.      insufficient staff to handle it. 8) Legal Advisors: They have expertise in legal support given to firms.
  • Remuneration: Lawyers are well paid depending on the work experience and the firm they are working under. There salary normally starts from 40,000 to 50,000 but outsource advocates earn around 20,00.
