Tips for giving a mind blowing presentation

When it comes to college life, your assignments are not just a bunch of sheets to fill up but also to present them orally, i.e. by giving a presentation on the certain topic. There are many students out there who face difficulties while giving a presentations, some reasons might be lack of confidence, lack of content, lack of preparation and so on. If you want to stand out and give a killer performance, here are the few tips to work upon when you are preparing yourself for a presentation:

1. Confidence: Confidence is something that comes from inside. One should have the courage to speak proudly. Confidence plays a major role when it comes to giving a presentation. There are many students who get tensed before the presentation and ruins it due to the fear and hesitation. But if you are the one of them who gets scared, then there is a simple fixer, start imagining yourself standing in front of your friends. Because though they make you laugh, but when it comes to presentation, they show up the most serious face so that you won’t hesitate. From where does the fear comes? From the eyes staring at you, like you are a treat or something. But if you think practically, they all are people and even if in case you performed real bad, they ain’t gonna eat you. So don’t let your hopes down, nobody is going to eat you, stay confident, and if you can’t act like you are, cause you have to fake it until you make it.
2. Know you Audience: You should be knowing for who is sitting in front of you, so that you can perform accordingly, and if you have no idea try to figure that out while giving a speech, because there would be some, who won’t be expecting a long presentation and there would be some who would want to know more, so you should be aware of the audience, and you should interact with them while giving your presentation.
3. Gestures and Body posture: Well body language plays a major role, when it comes to a presentation, why so? Because when you are giving a presentation, you have to express it and that can’t be done just by speaking and going on and on. Gestures play a major role through the presentation. Have you ever been to a presentation where a person is giving his or her speech by doing a cart wheel or by standing upside down on his or her hands and then providing the presentation, no right? There is a particular body posture that one needs to maintain throughout the presentation. Then if we move on to gestures, hand movements, facial expressions, etc. matters a lot. So while giving an enormous presentation you have to take care of these little things, as these little things end up in a wide issue later on which by the by makes your presentation not at all enormous.
4. Tone: The pitch, the tone is taken as an important point while giving a killer presentation. One should maintain his or her tone in a way that it would sound decent and accurate. Talking in a loud tone can give a pint of aggression, and talking in a way too soft tone make you look like a scared cat. You must also be aware of the pitch, i.e. you need to maintain at a specific pitch, it shouldn’t be like a music song, going high or low at time to time, it should be at a normal level.
5. Content: Last but not the least is the content of your presentation. First you need to make sure about the audience type you are dealing with. Then you should make sure about how much you should extend your topic to according to the situation ad audience. Your content should be appropriate and accurate, plus it should be knowledge based so that the audience may also appreciate your hard word, because in the end who doesn’t wants to hear a loud hooting and a round of a applause with a few whistles blowing out loud. So make sure your content is stuck to the topic ad that the audience could relate with it. if in the end you are feeling like something is missing, then you can put on a feedback round where you can give a questionnaire to the audience regarding the presentation so that you could improve your presentation kills time to time, and of course if you haven’t planned a feedback session then it is difficult to be done so instead you can just gently ask if anyone from the audience has something to say or ask about.
