National Conference on Leveraging lT for Rising lndia held at SMS Varanasi

School of Management Sciences, Varanasi organized two days (6th & 7th October 2018) National Conference on topic Leveraging lT for Rising lndia at its Khushipur Campus. The Chief Guest of the Conference, Prof. S. K. Kak (Former Vice Chancellor of Mahamaya University, Noida) stated that lnformation Technology has become a part of the psyche of the human being which has an incisive impact on the human mind. lf lnformation Technology is managed properly, it can lead us to become a modern society along with the ancient wisdom of lndia. Technology can be horrible if not used properly but proved to be panacea of prosperity, if used judiciously. Addressing more than 100 participants he indicated that the future of lndia depends on how we manage the lT. The Guest of Honour of the Conference, Mr. Praveen Kumar, Vice -President, J.K. Technosoft Ltd. highlighted the fact how Conference platforms can be used to discuss Research and lnnovations which need to have societal impact. Further he emphasized the importance of basic concepts in understanding the new technologies. Earlier, the Director of SMS Varanasi, Prof. PN Jha (also the Conference Director) welcomed the Guests. Prof. Jha stated that being NAAC A accredited institute, SMS Varanasi always indulge in creating such opportunities to discuss and disseminate knowledge by becoming a bridge to academia and industry. Later Prof PN Jha honored the Guests by shawl and memento. The Conference Convenor, Shri Shambhu Sharan Srivastava presented the theme while the Vote of-thanks for the inaugural session was presented by the Prof. K. S. Mishra. Dr. Pallavi Pathak conducted the inaugural session. The two-day event witnessed around 50 paper presentations on contemporary issues related to Conference themes. On this occasion, the Executive Secretary Dr. M,P. Singh, Registrar Shri Sanjay Gupta, Prof. Sandeep Singh, Prof. R.K. Singh, Prof A.K, Singh, were also present.
