two days "Certification Workshop in HR Functions"
being conducted by Mr. Srinivas, a well known H.R. Expert
of IVY HR Services at the premises of School of Management
Sciences (SMS). IVY HR Services has been associated with
renowned companies all over India and worldwide for delivering
effective HR Consultancy and services. Speaking on the occasion,
he said upon various technicalities involved in computing
Provident Funds and Employees State Insurance matters. He
has also discussed about the methods of payroll preparation
and involved calculations therein. Moreover he has explained
the existing tax slabs and logics behind them. He has also
clarified the methods of computing Taxable incomes of individuals
and corporate. Their focus was to bridge the gap between
Education and the Corporate expectations in area of Human
Resource Management. Inspirational clippings and power point
presentations were used to explain the topics. HR students
of various programs attended the workshop.
Earlier welcoming the guest, Prof. P. N. Jha, Director,
SMS said that SMS is always committed towards conducting
such workshops for enhancing the Quality Education as well
as enhancing the Skill Sets of its students. Consistent
value addition and the best academic delivery has been the
hallmark of SMS since its inception. Prof. Jha further reiterated
that SMS is among the very few management institutes in
India that organize such workshops where Experts and well
acclaimed authorities in the respective disciplines from
around the world help the students to build upon the strengths
necessary to be successful in the Corporate World.
It is needless to mention that, it was the first time in
any institute of North India to conduct such trainings sessions.
This training has been provided to students, without charging
any fees in this regard. At the end of two day session certificates
were distributed to the participating students.
