MBA Orientation Programme Commences at SMS, Varanasi

Orientation program of MBA course (session 2021,-2022) began in School of Management Sciences, Varanasi. Mr Sandeep Kulkarni, Managing Director and Chairperson of Brinks (lndia) graced the inaugural session as the chief guest. Mr. Devmani Pandey, (Head - Human Resources, Dalmia MPX) was present in the program as the special guest. Chief Guest Mr. Sandeep Kulkarni, while encouraging the newcomers said that it is a matter of honor that you have chosen a business school which not only emphasizes on quality education and job placement but also prepare you to deal with the outside world. Both skill and value are the need of the day, which this organization fulfils in true sense. The market demand can be met only by adopting various dimensions of digital and technical education.

Referring to the post covid economy, Mr. Pandey said that today the lndian economy is coming out of the bad phase and is getting better and better in the, global scenario. The central government has developed more start-ups, due to which new companies with new talent are being established rapidly in the lndian Market.

While apprising the newcomer students about the new job policy, he said that now the focus is more on capacity building and not on many years of experience. The key note speaker of the second session of the orientation program, Mr. Owen Mendonsa, Head HR and lR DHL Supply Chain Ltd. addressing the newcomers said that new digital technology has changed the landscape of management education to a great extent. Logistics and Supply chains work has become very easy due to the new technology.

Welcoming the guests and the new students of Management Sciences, Professor P N Jha, Director, School of Management Sciences said that today is a proud moment for the institution because today our new students are on their new educational journey. Calling upon the newcomer students, Prof. Jha said that due to the mutual coordination between the faculty and the students, today this institution is not only awarded "A" category by NAAC but is also one of the 50 leading management institutes in the country. Referring to the New Education Policy 2020 and industrial Revolution 4.0, Prof . Jha said that in the changing times it has become necessary to acquaint the students with the changing technical system. SMS is dedicated in providing a developed platform to the students with both academic and industrial format. Dean of Management Department Prof. Sandeep singh while referring to the educational journey of management, said that after the economic liberalization of 90s, the demand for professionals in business sector has increased in lndia. Today we are talking about information technology revolution and artificial intelligence. He called for adopting the changing technological system. Associate Professor Dr. Avinash Chandra Supkar presented the mission and vision of the School of Management Sciences. Inaugural session was successfully conducted by Dr. Pallavi Pathak. Vote of thanks was presented by Dr. Amitabh Pandey. On this occasion Executive secretary Dr. M.P. singh, Registrar shri Sanjay Gupta, Dean, Management Sciences Prof. Sandeep Singh, MBA Coordinator Dr. Amitabh Pandey and other teachers were also present.
