A two-day workshop on Soft Skill Development being conducted
by Mrs. Sara Ann Schuchart, a well known U.S. Expert on
Soft Skill Development commenced at School of Management
Sciences (SMS) on Saturday, 21st August, 2010. She has been
associated with renowned companies all over the world, prominent
being S.C. Johnson, ITC, Pepsi Cola, Indian Express, Hindustan
Times and Goodyear. Speaking on the occasion she said that
successful communication is all the core of successful Business.
Building awareness and learning is an essential ingredient
to be successful in the Corporate sector. Hence, the focus
today is to bridge the gap between Education and the Corporate.
Inspirational clippings were used by Mrs. Sara Ann Schuchart
to make it more meaningful and understandable to the students.
Students of PGDM final year participated with full zeal
and learned the various aspects of Soft Skill Development
which would enable them to a better placeability.
Earlier welcoming the guest, Prof. P. N. Jha, Director,
SMS said that SMS is always committed towards conducting
such workshops for enhancing the Quality Education as well
as enhancing the Skill Sets of its students. Consistent
value addition and the best academic delivery has been the
hallmark of SMS since its inception. Prof. Jha further reiterated
that SMS is among the very few management institutes in
India that organize such workshops where International Experts
and well acclaimed authorities in the respective disciplines
from around the world help the students to build upon the
strengths necessary to be successful in the Corporate World.
On this occasion Mr. Sanjay Gupta, Registrar and other faculty
members were also present.
