Innovation & Outstanding B-School Awards for SMS Group

  
Complementing the fast track movements of the SMS Group of Institutions (SMSGI) in various endeavors of professional education, teaching, placements, industry-interface, inculcating philanthropic culture etc., the DNA and Stars of the Industry Group has conferred the “Innovation in Building Academic & Industry Interface” to SMSGI and the Awards were presented at a Special function at Taj Lands in Mumbai on February 12, 2011 The award is in recognition of leadership, development, innovation and industry interface of SMSGI. The Group constitutes of School of Management Sciences (SMS) in Varanasi and Lucknow in addition to SMS Institute of Technology in Lucknow.

Meanwhile, the SMS also bagged the Star News National B-School Awards in the category of “Outstanding B-School (North India)”. This award comes as recognition to the Institution for being innovative, modern and industry related curriculum in Marketing, Advertising and Marketing Communications. This award ceremony was also held in Mumbai on the same day. It is needless to mention that SMS group had also received this award for its all round performance in different areas of Management Education.

The Chief Executive, SMSGI, Shri Sharad Singh received these awards and dedicated the two awards to the excellent processes adopted by the SMSGI family in providing value-based and quality blended modern professional education which is making the Group move with greater confidence. Placement Coordinator and Reader, SMS Varanasi, Dr Sanjay Saxena along with Shri Akshay Pandya were also present in the programme. The continuing excellent placement this season at both the Varanasi and Lucknow campuses further accentuates this fact. More than two thousand students are studying in different programmes at SMSGI.
