August, Independence Day is the festival for India and celebrated
to commemorate its independence from British rule and its
birth as a sovereign nation on that day in 1947. On 15th
August, 2010, Sixty third anniversary of India’s Independence
Day, School of Management Sciences celebrated the most pious
and auspicious occasion in presence of Chief Guest
Dr. Murli Manohar Joshi, Honourable Member of Parliament.
Dr. Joshi executed the activity of flag hosting on behalf
of entire SMS family. Dr Joshi had also presented his tribute
towards the leaders of the freedom struggle of India. He
had discussed one of the important concept of Management
education i.e. Globe is market place. He had projected that
in near future this concept will become concept of Globe
is a family. He had suggested the institute for engagement
of this new dimension of Management in their class room
teaching. Dr Joshi emphasized on the power of youth and
commented upon their capacity to frame the future.
Director of the institute Prof P. N. Jha greeted the Chief
guest and congratulated the faculties, staff and students
on such blissful and memorable moment. Prof Jha had also
commented upon the unique approach of SMS, as institute
is making use of Ancient Indian Wisdom in form of Spirituality
and human ethics in Management education. Cultural programs
had been presented by students of SMS. Students had presented
series of programs on various themes related to India’s
Independence. At the end of the programme snacks had been
given to students and staff members.
